Trinity Church at Home
At Trinity, we have decided not to restart services in the church building until we are able to worship as a whole church community. This will also allow us the opportunity for the church ceiling to be fixed and repainted which has been on the agenda for a while and which would have needed us to have moved out of the church building for at least 8 weeks anyway to allow for the scaffolding and the works to be carried out.
So, we have something new and exciting to launch that will run alongside the current Trinity offerings that you have been able to access since the beginning of lockdown.
Trinity Online will be continuing - offering a weekly YouTube service of worship, prayer and teaching and a TrinityKids video as well. There will also continue to be regular devotionals and resource recommendations on Facebook and Instagram.
We also will still to continue to deliver a Trinity Times to those without access to the internet.
But in addition to Trinity Online we have started something new which we are calling Trinity Church at Home!
Trinity Church at Home started on Sunday 14th June and will run until the end of July, with a week off in the middle!
We have a wonderful group of people who have offered their homes to host a Trinity Church at Home gathering and we are very grateful to them.
Most gatherings take place on a Sunday morning at 10:30 but there are one or two who meet later in the day on a Sunday. There will be coffee and a simple act of worship including a Trinity talk on video, some discussion and interactive prayer, and a chance to meet people and bring along friends. Our host homes can accommodate between 8 and 20 people.
Trinity Church at home will not replace small groups but will run alongside them!
If you are new to Trinity or have been with us for years and would like to be part of a Trinity Church at Home gathering please email Anna on Anna@trinitygsy.org to register interest and for more details. You may even like to have your own Trinity at home gathering with family and friends and this is great and we will be able to provide you with resources.
We would love all ages to gather together and Emma has Kids resources available that can be used as part of Trinity Church at Home.
We feel that this an exciting time for us a church community as we seek to grow in depth of relationship with God and with one another.
With love and prayers
Jon and Anna
A prayer for this time:
Father, we thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit who makes your presence known to us and we pray that at this time your Holy Spirit will do something new in our own lives and in our life together as a church community. We set aside this time for you and ask that you would be at work to will and to act according to your good purposes in our lives.
