Trinity Harvest Gift 2019
As a church we have partnered with Nick and Catherine Drayson-le Tissier for 35 years. As the diocesan bishop of Northern Argentina, Nick oversees 150 churches, seeking to lead in mission and enable pastoral care in both rural indigenous and urban Latin contexts. Catherine coordinates the work of AMARE, the Argentine branch of Mothers’ Union.
The Diocese has very limited resources but is planning to convert into simple conference centres two places where, for the past 50 years, accommodation and land have been used to support the church's outreach in different ways. They are in La Caldera and Ingeniero Juarez.
As a church community we are raising money on Harvest Sunday (October 20th) for the centre at Ingeniero Juárez which is in the heart of the Chaco forest area. It is now poised to become a Mission centre and for this new chapter will need refurbishing. The impact of this will be to provide an accessible centre for training and spiritual refreshment, which will equip local communities and individuals to respond to the social and spiritual challenges of the local area and further afield.
For this refurbishment the new Mission Centre will need kitchen equipment, bedding, some furniture and electrical items.
A gift of:
