Practising The Way of Jesus
We talk a lot about being a follower or disciple of Jesus but what might that look like in our everyday lives?
A good definition of a disciple is someone who practises the way of Jesus in their context in this moment inviting others to join them.
It’s a lifetime’s pursuit that is lived out mainly in small ways year by year, day by day and moment by moment. We follow Jesus both alone and together at home, at work, at worship and at play.
Discipleship is a whole-life thing for all of our lives. It’s about practising a long obedience in the same direction - with and towards Jesus.
This year at Trinity we want to think more about practising the way of Jesus around three key areas:
- Being with Jesus
- Becoming like Jesus
- Doing what Jesus did
Join us as we listen, study, reflect, train and discuss what it means to practise the way of Jesus in Guernsey in 2021.
