We recognise that children and young people are not only the leaders of the future but also important members of our church family today. We therefore welcome them in our church and have a variety of groups to meet the needs of all from age 0 to 18.

We run our Sunday morning activities for the children (0-11 years) all year round, although our 11-14 year olds sometimes stay in the Services during school holidays.

Youth and Children’s Work

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is the collective name we give to our five Sunday morning groups for children aged 0-11 years.
0-3 yrs Creche
3-5 yrs Scramblers
Yrs 1 and 2 Climbers
Yrs 3 and 4 Explorers
Yrs 5 and 6 Trackers
The children join in with the first 20 minutes of the 10.30am service and then leave the service to join their groups at around 11.00am. All groups aim to provide an environment of fun and friendship, at the same time as encouraging children to discover and develop a personal faith in Jesus Christ through activities suited to their age range.

Pathfinders

Pathfinders is for young people aged 11-14 (school years 7-9). They meet in the same way as our Stepping Stones groups on a Sunday morning. Youth Alpha is run on alternate years so that all Pathfinders have the opportunity to explore their faith in this way. They also meet for organised social activities once or twice a term.

CYFA

For ages 14-18 (school years 10+), members attend the 6.30pm service where many are involved in the worship group and other areas of ministry. Afterwards they usually chill-out at a member’s home. They meet on a Wednesday from 7.30 to 10pm for Bible study and fellowship. The annual trip to Soul Survivor is a highlight.

Trinity Tots

Come and join our mother and toddler group in the centre every Monday 10.30am to 12.30pm including lunch for mums and little ones. There are a variety of activities including toys, crafts to make, singing and storytime. A small charge will be made towards the cost of refreshments and lunch.

Good News Hounds

Good News Hounds is our Friday evening club from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm for children aged 7-11 (school years 3-6). We try to promote a fun and caring environment for children to ‘chill out’ at the end of their school week. Activities include games, craft, cooking, pool, PS2, the all important tuck shop and ‘chill and chat’ sofas. A short Christian message is also given each week.
