We recognise that children and young people are not only the leaders of the future but also important members of our church family today. We therefore welcome them in our church and have a variety of groups to meet the needs of all from age 0 to 18.
We run our Sunday morning activities for the children (0-11 years) all year round, although our 11-14 year olds sometimes stay in the Services during school holidays.

Young People
Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones is the collective name we give to our five Sunday morning groups for children aged 0-11 years. The children join in with the first 20 minutes of the 10:30 am Services which is family friendly and leave the Services to join their groups at around 11:00 am.
All groups aim to provide an environment of fun and friendship, at the same time as encouraging children to discover and develop a personal faith in Jesus Christ through activities suited to their age range.
Pathfinders
Pathfinders is for young people aged 11-14 (school years 7-9). They meet in the same way as our Stepping Stones groups on a Sunday morning. Youth Alpha is run on alternate years so that all Pathfinders have the opportunity to explore their faith in this way. They also meet for organised social activities once or twice a term.
CYFA
CYFA is our youth group for young people aged 14-18 (school years 10+). CYFA members attend the 6:30 pm Services where many of them are involved in the worship group and other areas of ministry. They then usually go to someone's house for a social time together. They also meet midweek, currently on a Wednesday evening between 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm for a time of Bible study and fellowship. The annual trip to Soul Survivor is a highlight for most members.
Playgroop
Don't be misled by the name! This is our 18+ group for students and young singles who meet weekly in the home of leaders for a time of food, fellowship and study.
Good News Hounds
Good News Hounds is our Friday evening club from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for children aged 7-11 (school years 3-6). We try to promote a fun and caring environment for children to 'chill out' at the end of their school week.
Activities include games, craft, cooking, pool, PS2, the all important tuck shop and 'chill and chat' sofas. A short Christian message is also given each week.
