A Praying Church
‘If an army advances on its stomach, a church advances on its knees’
As a church community we want to encourage both individual and corporate prayer to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The following is a pattern of corporate prayer for us as a church. All these times of corporate prayer are held in the church or centre unless indicated otherwise.
Daily Prayer
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am and 12pm - a short time of prayer for the local church and the wider world.
Weekly Prayer
Men@Prayer - Thursdays 7.00am to 7.45am - breakfast and prayer for family, work and church.
Saturday morning prayer - contact the Church Office (724319)
Prayer Ministry
People from the prayer ministry team are available at 9.00 communion services and at all 10.30 and 6.30 services to pray with and for those wanting prayer for particular circumstances or wishing to respond to what God has spoken to them about during the service.
Monthly Prayer
1:1:1 One church, once a month for one hour - On the first Monday of the month we meet together between 7.30pm and 8.30pm to worship and pray for the Church, the world and to thank God for His goodness.
Termly Prayer
Once a term there is a 1/2 night of prayer for the whole church - check notice sheet for times and dates.
Retreat Days
In order to help us move forward in our Christian faith then at times we need to retreat! During the year various retreat days are held - please check the notice sheet for more information or if you are interested in going on a guided retreat then please contact the Church office (724319).
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4 : 6-7
